Cancellation Policy

Amount of Notice Fees

Less than 48 hrs notice 50%

Less than 24 hrs notice 100%

To avoid being charged a cancellation fee please provide as much notice as possible for cancellations. Cancellation fees are charged if less than 48 hours notice (before your appointment time) is provided for cancellations or rescheduling. This is because the time has been set aside for you and often cannot be filled at short notice. Please note cancellation fees are only billed if an appointment is unable to be filled with another client appointment. NDIS cancellation fees are as agreed upon with your psychologist. A 48 hour notice period is also applicable to NDIS participants.

Reminders

As a courtesy, we may send you an SMS or email reminder for your appointment up to 3 days before it’s scheduled. However, this is an automated, courtesy service only and should not be relied upon for sessions or cancellation purposes as technical difficulties may impact delivery. As such, it remains your responsibility to attend sessions or cancel them within set time frames. The absence of an SMS or email reminder will not lead to cancellation fees being waived.

Eudemonia Psychology reserves the right to reschedule appointments at any time, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary due to staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Medicare Referrals

You do not need a referral to make an appointment with a psychologist. However, you may be eligible for a $98.95 rebate from Medicare if you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referral from your GP. Currently the maximum amount of sessions provided under the MHCP is 10 per calendar year. We do not offer bulk billed sessions.

Private Health Insurance

If you have extras cover included with your private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate for psychology services. The amount may vary between health funds. Please contact your health fund for full details.

We also cannot provide court reports for any family/criminal or civil litigation matters. We may be able to provide a letter of attendance for university, school, employers, insurers, court or other purposes on a case by case basis.
